The Ahlulbayt, or the family of Prophet Muhammad, played a central role in the early history of Islam. They are revered as a source of guidance and inspiration for Muslims, and their teachings and example continue to be studied and applied in contemporary Islamic contexts.
The Ahlulbayt include Prophet Muhammad’s daughter Fatima Al-Zahraa, her husband Ali, and their children Hasan and Husayn. The family is also sometimes expanded to include other descendants of the Prophet, such as Zaynab bint Ali and Muhammad al-Baqir.

The Ahlulbayt played important roles in the early development of Islamic theology, law, and spirituality. They are seen as sources of wisdom and guidance, and their teachings continue to be studied and applied by Muslims today.
